Matrices and differential equations together form the heaviest-scoring part of the GTU Sem-2 Mathematics paper, and most EC students lose marks here not because the concepts are hard, but because they don’t practise enough application-based questions. Complex variables, the last two modules, look abstract at first but become useful later when you study signals, control systems and communication theory.
